For our last formal assignment, we had to write a research paper based on a question we had that related to the movie Where To Invade Next. We used our three previous blog post, the Annotated Bibliography , Where to Invade Next? An Argument, and Summary and Rhetorical Analysis of Where to Invade Next, to help us before we actually began writing our essay. My essay was based on the question, should the United States change the sexual education curriculum to match French’s sexual curriculum? My essay took forever to write. I procrastinated so much on my essay and so it ended up taking forever. I'm someone who hates writing research papers, even when I find the topic to be interesting, just because of the amount of brain power, energy, and research that truly go into them. To read more about my process writing this research essay, you can check out my blog post Research Paper Process Reflection. My argument throughout the research essay, is that the United states need to change their sex education curriculum to match the curriculum in France, in order to bring down pregnancy rates, and so that adolescents feel comfortable talking about sex education and will be able to practice safe sex, without feeling shameful. This essay is targeted towards parents, in hopes of opening their eyes to the real dangers that our current sexual education curriculum holds.
